Adults and family members of the Amateur Entomologists' Society receive one or more of our three main journals. The price of membership depends on the journals you choose.
You can choose to receive any combination of the following journals:
Members also receive Invertebrate Conservation News, as a paper copy for Bulletin subscribers or electric access for The Entomologist's Record subscribers. While stocks last, new UK members will also receive a free copy of British butterflies throughout the year.
If you want to buy membership of the Bug Club for a young person then please see Bug Club/junior membership.
If you are renewing your membership, please tick the relevant box and enter your membership number during checkout. If you do not know your membership number then enter your post code (where the journals are sent) instead.
We only accept online payment via PayPal, you do not need an existing PayPal account to use the service.
Please note, membership runs for the calendar year. If you are joining during October-December it is assumed that your membership is for the following year and not the current year. If you want to join for the current year (subject to availability) then please mention this in the 'Addition information' box during checkout. If you join for the current year you will be sent any copies of journals from earlier in the year that you have missed.
Not sure how to join? See our instructions on how to join the AES online and how to buy gift membership.
In 2021 we published a membership list. The list consisted of the names and postal and email addresses of Ordinary (over 18 yrs) and Institutional members. The list is 'opt in' and only those members who want to be included will be included. To be included please tick the "Membership list" option during checkout.
